The museum houses over 1000 artifacts including a variety of household items, military, archaeological and Indigenous artifacts. There are new feature displays each year.

Open July and August, Monday to Friday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., or by appointment between June and September.

The Birdtail Country Museum board members recognize that the land we are on is the ancestral territory of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Dakota and Métis people. We respect Treaties Two and Four which were made on these territories. We acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, particularly those associated with the Birtle Residential School and the destruction of the community of St. Madeline. We wish to move forward in partnership with the Indigenous communities of this area in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
